Charlie Bigham’s doubles sales revenue in two years
Charlie Bigham’s growth continued after it reported retail sales of £57M this year. The results came 12 months after the manufacturer reported a 47% year-on-year growth, and two years after it announced sales of £26M.
Founder of the company Charlie Bigham said: “It’s been another fantastic year for the company and we’re all delighted that consumers are choosing our delicious recipes on such a frequent basis.
‘Lots of exciting plans’
“Our focus will continue to be on making our food even tastier and on introducing more and more people to our range. We’ve got lots of exciting plans to help bring more people together over great food in 2017.”
The ready meals specialist said it was building a new production kitchen in the south west after its “great year”.
The company announced in its previous financial results that it planned to invest further in television advertising. It made a return to London and south west television screens in March, which were watched by 54M people – double last year’s audience.

Charlie Bigham’s’ products are sold in Waitrose, Sainsbury and Tesco. They can also be bought from Ocado, Booths and Budgens.
Meanwhile, Bigham shared his top three tips for food manufactures in a video interview with FoodManufacture.co.uk, in 2013. He explained that focusing on specific areas of manufacturing was one of the key components of growth.
