Seven fire engines and an aerial ladder appliance were called to the fire at the Holme Farm site in Kirton Holme, Lincolnshire, at 9.30am on Thursday (November 19).
The fire was started by an electrical fault and destroyed the “whole warehouse” near the A52, according to a spokeswoman at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

Nearby residents fled from their homes and were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as the fire sent a dark plume of smoke into the air.
Lincolnshire Police said a section of the A52 was closed following a large fire at a packing plant on a farm in Kirton Holme, near Boston.
“Very nearby residents have been evacuated and others in the wider area have been asked to keep windows and doors closed due to the significant amount of smoke,” a police statement said.
“There are no reports of any casualties.”
A Holme Farm representative said the food production and packing plant mainly focuses on vegetable products.
“There was a fire at Holme Farm, the cause of which we have yet to establish. The production facility was untouched, it was the storage facility,” he said.
Holme Farm Group Holdings is a wholly owned subsidy of Kiril Mischeff Limited, according to Companies House records.
