As well as the new award categories ‘Best new use of food ingredients’ and ‘Supply chain initiative’, awards will this year be made for ‘Most innovative small food or drink manufacturer’ and ‘Judges’ star performer’. The latter award will be made to the company the judges feel deserves particular recognition for a particular activity be it in the field of manufacturing, marketing or staff development.
As in previous years, category awards will be made for the Best Manufacturing Company of the Year in Ambient, Bakery, Beverages, Chilled, Dairy, Fresh, Frozen, Meat & Poultry, and Seafood.
Distinguished judging panel
Our distinguished judging panel of independent experts will also select an overall winner from the category winners to be crowned overall Company of the Year. Further awards will be made for ‘Environmental Initiative of the Year’ and ‘Training Programme of the Year’. Separately, visitors to our awards website at www.foodmanawards.co.uk will be able to vote for the ‘Personality of the Year’ from a shortlist of candidates via an online poll.
Entry to the awards is simple and free. Entry forms and guidance can be downloaded from the website above (where you can also view video clips of last year's winners). Alternatively, contact Rebecca George on 01293 610422 or at rebecca.george@wrbm.com.
The closing date for receipt of entries is Wednesday July 31 and the presentations will be made at an awards dinner and celebratory event on Thursday November 21 at London’s Hilton Hotel in Park Lane.
