Moy Park Oscar winners: the video interview

“Truly delighted”, was the verdict from Moy Park’s human resources director Mike Mullan, after his firm scooped the top award in the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards (FMEAs).

Speaking after receiving the Oscar for Food Manufacture Company of the year, Mullan said in this video interview: “We are truly delighted for everyone in the Moy Park team.”

Mullan added: “Moy Park is a company about people, about values and doing the right thing and serving our customers. For all our stakeholders, we are absolutely delighted.”

Won the top award

Moy Park won the top award, sponsored by Oghma Partners after first winning the Meat and poultry manufacturing company of the year, sponsored by Dasic.

Two Oscars were awarded for initiatives to combat Britain's number one cause of food poisoning. 2 Sisters Food Group won the Judges star performer award for its pioneering work in combating the bug. 

Jeremy Hall, Bernard Matthews group technical director received the Food Manufacture Personality of the year award for his work in highlighting the role of rapid surface chilling in preventing campylobacter.
