Breakfast cereal manufacturers and frozen pizza suppliers have access to cartoning technology that can slash changeover times and maintain consistently high yields, courtesy of Bosch Packaging Technology.

The company launched its CFC (Continuous Food Cartoner) 2012 cartoner at Anuga FoodTec 2015 in Cologne, Germany, last week.

FoodManufacture.co.uk caught up with Harald Joos, sales director for Bosch Packaging Technology’s secondary packaging portfolio, at the show, who explained some of the features of the machine.

Target market

“The target market is frozen food and everything in bags like cereals, mueslis, milk powder,” said Joos.

The cartoner used servomotors, which could be simply and quickly adjusted to different packaging runs, enabling swift changeovers with minimum downtime, he said. They also consumed low levels of energy, he added.
