2 Sisters Food Group has made two senior appointments to its UK poultry team – an operations director and a commercial director – as it “continues on its UK transformation plan”.

Peter Judge and Frank Robinson joined 2 Sisters last month, the poultry producer revealed. The two appointments would help 2 Sisters deliver its growth plan, said the company’s ceo Ranjit Singh.

Singh said: “Peter and Frank both bring a great depth of food industry experience, which will enable us to build on our foundations and push to the next level.”

A strong background

New divisional operations director Judge will be responsible for making sure each 2 Sisters’ site matches the manufacturer’s business objectives. The former Karro Food Group and Tulip chief operating officer has a strong background in operational improvement and business leadership, 2 Sisters said.

Judge said: “2 Sisters is a strong business and I’m delighted to join the team at this exciting time. I’ve already met some fantastic people and I think we’ve got a great opportunity to continue to build on the ‘Better Before Bigger’ strategy.”

Judge was joined at 2 Sisters by his former-Tulip colleague Robinson, who was appointed as commercial director for the division. Previously Tulip commercial director and interim sales director at Samworth Brothers, Robinson will be responsible for 2 Sisters’ UK poultry division commercial team, and developing customer relations.

‘Lead the sales team’

Robinson said: “I’m excited by the opportunity to lead the sales team and work with some old colleagues.

“The recent [£45M] investment in Scunthorpe [last August] and our ‘Added Value’ sites will provide us with the platform to drive forward sales with pace and innovation.”

Meanwhile, meat producer Moy Park, seafood firm Young’s and supermarket Tesco all appeared in January’s People on the move in food and drink photogallery.
