The Titrando titration system is claimed to be powerful, intelligent and flexible, yet simple to use. Methods are said to be easy to programme using a new touch screen control (TSC). Menus are intuitive, and the system’s electronic alpha-numeric keys make data entry quick.
Once the system is programmed, operation is commenced by simply pressing the ‘start’ button. The instrument detects and alerts users to set-up errors, and it can remind them to enter vital information such as sample size and identifications before the titration begins.
Data retrieval is also said to be flexible: the data that is created with the Titrando can be stored internally, on a data card or in a PC. Alternatively, it can be transferred directly to a local area network.
Up to three Titrandos can be controlled by one TSC, which can sit on the benchtop or hang on a wall via an optional holder. Help is also available through the TSC. It provides full text information and guidance for the active screen. With PC control you also have the ability to activate ‘Follow-me’ help.
A ‘quick access’ function (direct parameters) is available for routine analyses. It allows direct access to the parameters most frequently used for a given method. This means that accessing multiple menus to change critical settings and parameters has been eliminated – they are now accessible from one page.
A titration is only as accurate as its reagent dispensing system. The Titrando allows up to four dispensing devices per system.
