Dr Arthur Day, a prominent figure in the field of food innovation, and a specialist in chocolate and confectionery production, has joined The Food Chain Centre of Industrial Collaboration, based in the Food Sciences Department at the University of Leeds.

Day (57) brings over 30 years' experience in food manufacturing, technical management, research and development and marketing to Food Chain, where his consultancy role will focus on promoting newly developed equipment and techniques for chocolate manufacturing to companies.

Having worked for Cadbury Schweppes, Rowntree Mackintosh then Nestlé Rowntree - where he was head of innovation - Day is well placed to help Food Chain take its newly patented technology into the market place.
