Glisten, the fast-growing snack and confectionery foods group, has appointed Dave Coulson as its first marketing and development director.
The appointment further strengthens Glisten’s product innovation and brand development strategies, adding additional expertise in consumer marketing to support both own-label relationships with major retailers and also the growing portfolio of Glisten’s own brands.
In his new role, Coulson will initially focus on: capitalising on the Group’s expertise in ‘junk-free’ snacks - based on fruits, nuts, seeds and cereals - and expanding its range of premium confectionery, including luxury chocolate-coated products.
Formerly marketing director at Matthews Foods (now part of the Kerry Foods Group), Coulson brings to Glisten extensive marketing experience with a number of major food brands such as McCain, Nestle-Rowntree and Fox’s Biscuits. Most recently, he worked as a marketing consultant to Kellogg.
In line with the Group’s drive to develop and communicate its healthier brands to customers, Glisten also recently appointed Chris Monks as md of Lyme Regis Fine Foods. Monks was previously commercial director at Samworth Brothers, owner of the Ginsters brand.
