Ladies looking for a sophisticated spread to sex up their sandwiches may be interested in Heinz's new mayonnaise range.
Following market research, Heinz has specifically targeted the female consumer. Nicky Cummerfield, senior brand manager at Heinz Mayonnaise, explains: "Valued at over £100M, the mayonnaise market is by far the largest part of the ambient dressings category, but our research shows that consumers - women in particular - want something quick to liven up their sandwich."
The Heinz Deli Mayo range has four flavours: Caramelised Onion; Roasted Garlic; Moroccan Style and Sundried Tomatoes.
The ambient dressings category consists of mayonnaise that is valued at £100M, salad cream at £51M and pourable salad dressings at £36M. Heinz has an 80% value share and a 66% volume share of the salad cream market.
