New chairman for the Federation of Bakers
Joe Street has been elected as the new chairman of the Federation of Bakers. He takes over the role from Brian Robinson.
Street joined Fine Lady Bakeries in January 1990 as md, working directly for the Heygate family. He has been a council member and honorary treasurer of the Federation of Bakers for a number of years and, more recently, has played a leading role in establishing the use of an industry-wide bread basket.The new vice chairman is Paul Molyneux, currently central technical director at Premier Foods and chairman of the Federation of Bakers Technical Panel. The new Treasurer is Brian Irwin, md of W D Irwin & Sons based in Belfast.
