Kilmarnock-based game processor Braehead Foods has moved into a new purpose-built facility six times the size of its old one to meet growing demand.
Md Craig Stevenson said he aimed to triple turnover from £5M to £15M in five years through broadening the product range and making game more accessible.
A new development and production kitchen would help development chefs at the firm create more value-added products from terrines and pâtés to stocks and stuffed poultry, said Stevenson, who acquired the business in 1999.
There were also opportunities to supply retailers as more consumers sought out game after eating it out, said Stevenson. "We're also looking at boilers and kettles to make ready-to-eat products further down the line."
