Ingredients company Ulrick & Short has appointed a business development manager, as part of its ongoing expansion plans.Laura Thornhill has taken up the new post for the south of England. Having achieved a degree in food and consumer studies from Sheffield Hallam University, Thornhill previously developed sauces for ingredients supplier Gordon Jopling.
The appointment of Thornhill is part of Ulrick & Short’s strategic plans to increase its market share by driving sales in the south of England.
She said: “The diverse nature of Ulrick & Short’s food industry sectors will allow me to work on a range of interesting projects and help me to gain further experience in new food areas.
“The sales training and the support that have already been shown from the team has been exceptional and from that I am confident that I will be able to achieve the targets that have been set.”
