The Royal Agricultural Society of England has appointed Brian Warren as its new chief executive.

Warren is soon to retire from a senior position with the Royal Navy, and will take up his appointment early in 2009.

“The trustees of the RASE are delighted to make this appointment,” said chairman of RASE trustees Hugh Oliver-Bellasis. “Brian has just completed a distinguished naval career and has represented the UK in a number of different ways.

He has gained experience in delivering military contracts and managing major communication programmes as well as serving in more traditional military leadership roles. He will bring outstanding leadership and communication skills to the society.”
