Mile High Drinks claims to have developed an antioxidant-rich fruit beverage that is designed to combat the symptoms of colds and flu.
Originally intended to boost the immune systems of cabin crew, the Red Grape & Cherry Mile High Drink was formulated to help combat the adverse effects of flying on the body. Now it is available to the mass market - for people wanting to boost their immune system.
The beverage was designed to be consumed in the environment of an aircraft's cabin, where only approximately 50% of the air breathed is filtered and the confined space allows viruses to be transmitted more easily.
Mile High contains high levels of antioxidants in addition to aloe vera and ginger, which combine to boost the immune system and help to combat the flu bug, according to the company.
One bottle a day is claimed to provide the recommended intake of antioxidant units.
The ingredients were carefully chosen, said nutritionalist Stuart Roberts, md of Mile High Drinks and creator of the beverage.
"Although each ingredient provides multiple health benefits individually, the ingredients also work together enhancing Mile High's potential to help boost immunity," he said.
