Steenberg Organic is launching a new range of spice and herb seasonings inspired by Arabian cuisine - from Lebanon through to Morocco and Persia.
The range features 10 organic blends, including Armenian, baharat, boharat, chawage and chermoula, and dukkah.
Steenberg's organic dukkah, for example, is a blend of toasted seeds, chickpeas, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and sunflower seeds - and its own novel blend of spices.
"I have always been fascinated by the complexity that comes from Arabian cuisine. It's one of the great classical cuisines of the world and sadly largely ignored in Britain," said Axel Steenberg, md of the company.
