The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) is the UK's fresh produce trade association and is the voice of the industry.
Membership covers a spectrum of businesses, including growers, importers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, packers, foodservice companies and other bodies. The FPC has several main goals: to increase the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables in the UK; and to promote responsible and sustainable trading and protect its membership from negative effects of legislation and media.
Operating out of Peterborough, the FPC is engaged with various government departments and regulatory organisations on issues affecting the industry. It also advises and informs its members about new legislation and regulations affecting the fresh produce sector. It actively engages in topical issues of the day, such as organics vs conventional, carbon footprints, and regional/seasonal supply.
The FPC provides excellent networking opportunities for every area of the industry it represents, enabling members to easily make contact with other sectors of the industry and related companies.
