Western Brand Poultry is to undergo a new product development drive, after investing £4.4M in its poultry and egg site in Northern Ireland.
The £4.4M investment, said Eugene Lannon, Western Brand group md, will go into buying and installing machinery to produce a range of new products. The investment will be made at its plant in Lisnaskea in County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. "We also want to add another production line to increase capacity," he added.
The company has not revealed what the new products will be. Western Brand acquired the former Moy Park operation at Lisnaskea in December 2006 as part of a strategic expansion plan. It produces a range of chicken and egg products.
