New depot for Barnsley area

Frozen and chilled foods logistics specialist Langdons has announced the opening of a new depot just off the M1 Junction 37 near Barnsley.

It will cover collections and deliveries throughout Yorkshire, Humberside and the northeast and replaces a former association with a partner operator covering the same region. The new site will connect with seven other Langdons depots in the UK via overnight dual temperature trunkers, enabling next day delivery for palletised frozen and chilled foods to and from the Barnsley depot area to almost all the rest of mainland UK. Langdons is a subsidiary of the Nagel Group of Germany and so is connected with a 50+ depot network throughout the EU, which means that intra-EU movements are also available from the group.

Chilled and frozen storage (linked with case picking if required) is also available at Barnsley and most of the other depots.
