M&S, Cadbury, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Nestlé UK and Alara Wholefoods join the lineup at Food Manufacture's Sustainable Supply Chain conference

If doing your bit for the planet used to be a good way of earning a few brownie points, it is now increasingly becoming a condition of doing business with the nation’s biggest food retailers.

But it’s not just about measuring your carbon emissions. From explaining exactly where the cocoa and palm oil in your products comes from to reducing your water footprint or addressing animal welfare issues, sustainability impacts every department, from marketing to technical, NPD, regulatory affairs, logistics and operations.

But where to start? And how much will it cost?

Find out at Food Manufacture’s new Sustainable Food Supply Chain 2010 conference on November 29 in London, which promises to cut the greenwash and spell out what retailers want and how food manufacturers have stepped up to the plate.

Delegates will hear from a high-profile line up of speakers including:

  • Alison Ward, head of global corporate responsibility, Cadbury
  • Joe Franses, head of corporate responsibility & sustainability, Coca-Cola Enterprises
