Weigh to handle sticky product
The system comprises Ishida's screw feeder weigher, which is linked to packing stations where operators place product into trays.
The over-mounted rotating metal spirals have been designed to handle sticky fresh product and provide an automatic product feed to the pool hoppers.
A belt diverter conveys each weighed portion to the next available packing station. The weigh batcher can optimise the interplay between packing station worker and weigh-batcher via software to maximise the speed and efficiency of the system.
When each portion arrives at its packing station an operator transfers it to a tray and styles it to the retailer's specification.
The completed tray is placed on an 'out' belt for sealing, labelling and quality control. The station automatically informs the system once the filled and styled tray has left. This triggers the sending of another portion to be packed.
