New portioner for poultry production

French food processor Farmor has invested in a second RevoPortioner from Marel Townsend to cope with increased production.

he company produces up to 12,000t of product annually with a core focus on meat particularly poultry-based products.

It bought its first Marel Townsend RevoPortioner in 2008 and says the high-performance machine enables very flexible production with portioning drums that can be changed quickly.

Low-pressure portioning enables new innovative opportunities for new product development.

The RevoPortioner has been designed to be simple to use and clean and needs little maintenance. Clean production, reduced energy and water consumption are additional benefits.

Jean-Claude Le Du, Farmor industrial director explains: "The arrival of the first RevoPortioner in 2008 enabled our research and development department to develop new products that meet the expectations of today's consumers even more closely. We also saw an increase in our yields and better working conditions for our employees. It is for these reasons that we have again placed our trust in Marel Townsend further processing by investing in a second RevoPortioner this year. "
