DSM buys beta-glucan brand
DSM says oat beta-glucan has clinically proven health benefits in the areas of cholesterol reduction, blood glucose control and general gastrointestinal health. It cites the European Food Safety Authority and the US food and Drug Administration among the health authorities that have approved health claims for the beta-glucans for cholesterol reduction and the associated reduced risk of developing heart disease.
