Warburtons has appointed PepsiCo executive Neil Campbell as its new md.

Campbell is currently president of the Tropicana Beverages North America division of PepsiCo based in Chicago.

He is expected to join the Bolton-based baker and snack manufacturer in the early summer.
15-year career

Before joining Tropicana in 2007, Campbell had a 15-year career within PepsiCo. He joined the Walkers crisp brand in 1993 where he held a number of marketing roles. He began leading the Walkers marketing function in 1998.

The firm credit him as one of the leading forces behind the successful advertising campaign featuring footballer and broadcaster Gary Lineker.
In 2003 he was appointed as vice-president of marketing for PepsiCo UK, which included responsibility for Quaker and Tropicana.  He became general manager of Walkers in 2005 before taking up his role at Tropicana USA.
PepsiCo confirmed Campbell’s departure, but would not comment further.
