Two new awards for food manufacturing Oscars

The new awards – introduced to reflect the growing significance of these topics in UK food and drink manufacturing – join five other special awards. Those include: Food Manufacturing Company of the Year, Training programme of the year, Environmental initiative of the year, Most innovative small food or drink manufacturer and Judges’ star performer.

There are also nine category awards – including: Ambient Manufacturing Company of the Year, Bakery Manufacturing Company of the Year and Beverages Manufacturing Company of the Year. See the full list below.

Last year, Birds Eye brand owner Iglo Foods Group took the the top award and was crowned Food Manufacturing Company of the Year​.

“Iglo has not been afraid to grasp some really thorny issues and made significant inroads into them. Iglo is clear that it has to live its values to ensure its future success,”​ said the judges.

This coveted top title goes to an overall winner, selected from the individual manufacturing category winners.

Iglo Foods Group landed top honours after winning the Frozen Foods Company of the Year award earlier in the evening. The judges praised Iglo Foods’ drive for growth in fish, vegetable and poultry products.
