Poultry processor Moy Park has appointed Grant Ferrier as its new director of sales.

Ferrier has joined Moy Park’s Convenience Foods and New Business team from Pork Farms where he had spent the past four years developing its commercial strategy and customer relationships.

Moy Park said that Ferrier would bring “significant experience” in the chilled food industry to the role.

The UK’s largest poultry firm has also appointed Kerry Johnson to the role of senior commercial manager. She has joined the same team as Ferrier.

‘Wealth of experience’

Johnson, who re-joined Moy Park from ABP, would provide the firm with a wealth of experience” in top grocery multiples and the meat industry, the firm claimed.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Moy Park took responsibility for its Brazilian parent company Marfrig’s operations across Europe.

The move made Moy Park responsible for £1.5bn of the group’s business. The Marfrig Group supplies meat to global markets and has operations in 18 countries in five continents – selling into 160 countries worldwide.
