Poultry processor makes double appointment

Poultry processor Moy Park has made two new appointments in a bid to preserve its customer service levels.

Les Newlands joins Moy Park as its new demand controller within the company’s Agri-Fresh division.

He brings 25 years’ experience to his new role, most recently gained at Vion Food Group. Newlands had held the position of commercial planning director at Vion since 2006.

‘Industry-leading’

Moy Park said his initial role would be to support the current team to “maintain the company’s industry-leading customer service levels”.

Moy Park has also revamped its marketing department with the appointment of Justin Thomas.

Thomas joins from own-label convenience food manufacturer Bakkavör as Moy Park’s new senior category marketing manager.

Last month Moy Park also appointed a new director of sales and senior commercial manager.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Moy Park took responsibility for the European operations of parent company Marfrig. The move made Moy Park responsible for £1.5bn of the group’s business.
