Premier Foods took to the stage three times – picking up the awards for Company of the year, Ambient company of the year and Training programme.
Premier Foods’ Ashford factory general manager, Simon Ellmore, praised the teamwork and engagement of the staff at the site.
The md of Wyke Farms, Richard Clothier, was crowned Personality of the Year, in recognition of his success in marrying the firm’s commercial success with its environmental initiatives. Wyke Farms was also awarded the Dairy company of the year.
‘Oscars of the food industry’
Clothier said he was honoured to be recognised at the “Oscars of the food industry”.

Speakers in the video include Mike Stones, group editor of Food Manufacture and award’s host Julia Bradbury.
Meanwhile, Paul Wilkinson, chairman of the judges, said it had been a “vintage year” for entries.
Speaking after judging the 50-plus entries Wilkinson highlighted two key themes from this year’s award entries.
They were the key contribution of sustainability policies and the role of people – in the form of leadership, training and team motivation.
