The online seminar – Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS): switch onto savings, staged in association with energy efficiency specialist JRP Solutions – will arm delegates with the information they need to comply with new government rules, due to be launched this month.
Must be completed by December 2015
The rules – set out in ESOS – will require all firms with more than 250 employees to conduct energy audits every four years. The first audit must be completed by December 2015. Firms with fewer than 250 employees will be exempt from the new rules.
To explore the implications of the new legislation for food and drink manufacturers, we have assembled an expert panel of leading authorities on energy use. Speakers from the Energy Efficiency Deployment Office, the Food and Drink Federation, JRP Solutions and a leading food or drink manufacturer will explain the implications of the new rules for the sector.
Taking part will be:
- Martin Adams, ESOS team leader, Energy Efficiency Deployment Office, on the government’s perspective on the mandatory assessment requirement
- Steve Reeson, FDF head of climate change and energy policy, on an industry-wide perspective on the new rules and how they fit with wider energy policy and what has been achieved so far
- Jes Rutter, md JRP Solutions, will outline the practical implications of the new rules for individual businesses
