Tree of Life expands its Yale forklift truck fleet

Health food wholesaler Tree of Life, based in Newcastle Under Lyme, has expanded its fleet of forklift trucks from 19 to 28 after signing a deal with Briggs Equipment.

Tree of Life supplies around 1,200 independent health food stores in the UK and needed to increase handling capacity at its 7,900m2 warehouse.

To meet the increased demand, and as it continues to diversify, the company has expanded its fleet of Yale forklift trucks, supplied by Briggs Equipment, together with reach trucks, high level order pickers and power pallet trucks.

“Tree of Life has relied on Yale trucks for more than a decade and Briggs Equipment has worked with them for the past four years,” says Steve Sloane, account manager at Briggs Equipment.

Additions to the fleet are eight used power pallet trucks and a new Robur pedestrian counterbalance truck. Existing four-wheel trucks have been replaced by three-wheel electric counterbalanced truck models.
