Winning not one but two Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards (FMEAs) in the industry’s Oscars last month will boost team morale, said Dawn Meats boss Isla Roebuck.

“We were delighted to win the award for Environmental Initiative of the Year. But then to win the overall Food Manufacturing Company of the Year award is just magnificent,” said Roebuck in this video interview, filmed on awards night (November 20) at the London Park Lane Hilton.

“We have worked extremely hard to challenge ourselves to develop best in practice and tonight’s awards show we have made that happen. It will be great for morale.”

The best of the best

The Food Manufacturing Company of the Year award recognises the achievements of the best of the best in food and drink manufacturing. The trophy is awarded by the independent judging panel – led by Thorntons’ chairman Paul Wilkinson – to a company that has already won an FMEA category award.
