Purity Soft Drinks installs beverage disinfection kit
Purity Soft Drinks has installed a beverage disinfection system at its site at Wednesbury in the West Midlands. The system manufactures and doses a disinfectant agent and undertakes several tasks including treating process water, carrying out continuous disinfection within the bottling enclosure during a bottling process and feeds the cleaning-in-place (CIP) system
The Aquadron system is made in Germany by Innowatech and was supplied to Purity by New Energy Management. It has allowed the company to reduce chemical use at the site and will also reduce water use in the CIP cycle.
There are about 50 other Aquadron systems now in use for process disinfection in food and drink applications across Europe. It is also in buildings to control legionella in water systems.
Purity Soft Drinks specialises in making juices and juice drinks packaged in various packaging formats, including polyethylene terephthalate and glass.
