The firm estimates its retail sales are set to top £40M by year end.
Charlie Bigham’s has recently launched tikka masala, chicken korma and chicken jalfrezi ready-meals to its product category, currently available in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Booths and Budgens stores.
Television campaign
In order to build on its growth, the London-based business has launched its first ever television campaign, featuring the characters from its ‘twosomes’ range of products.
Cartoons Em and Hugo are seen enjoying a Charlie Bigham’s fish pie while debating why the food is real but they are not.
The advert – which you can watch at the bottom of this article – aired for the first time on March 2 and will run in the south west of England until March 29.
It will target Sussex, Bristol, Brighton, Gloucester, and Southampton and should achieve more than 26M impressions, the firm claimed.
Founder of the brand Charlie Bigham said: “It is fantastic that our food is now available in lots of stores and more and more people are enjoying it. What better way to spread the word further than to share our story on TV.”
Invest £750,000
In October, Bigham told FoodManufacture.co.uk the firm would invest £750,000 after announcing year-on-year sales growth of 46%.
Bigham was nominated as a candidate for Personality of the Year at the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2014 for his regular investment to drive innovation and growth in the sector.
