Nichols Dispense Scotland is more than doubling capacity by launching a depot in Stirling off the back of the major distribution deal with soft drinks giant Coca-Cola.

Nichols Dispense Scotland added Coca-Cola to its range to become the first independent bag-in-box supplier of the brand outside of Coca-Cola itself earlier this year. It is already Scotland’s exclusive supplier of Irn Bru and Vimto on dispense.

As part of the dispense service, Nichols also provides equipment, installation, maintenance and technical support.

Growth strategy

The move from Dunblane to the 929m2 Stirling depot adds to an existing satellite depot in Aberdeen. The investment by soft drinks group and Nichols Dispense Scotland owner Nichols Plc is part of a UK-wide growth strategy targeting the out of home channel.

The move has been supported by the appointment of the company’s first trading director, Nick Yates.

Pernod Ricard

Having previously worked in management roles within Pernod Ricard, a major focus for Yates will be using his 13 years’ experience to develop the Nichols Dispense portfolio proposition for the on-trade.

In addition to exclusively supplying premium brands Coca-Cola, Vimto, Irn Bru, Sunkist and Ocean Spray, Nichols Dispense Scotland also offers an own-brand range on draught.

“The deal with Coca-Cola only adds to our credibility as the leading supplier in the market and expansion through a bigger depot enables us to capitalise on the significant opportunities for growth,” said Yates.
