The study, which will be presented by the firm at Vitafoods Europe in Geneva from May 5–7, took into account 13 clinical parameters over an eight-week period.
Brightness and transparency
Healthy women aged 40–70 years-old taking part in the study took a daily 150mg oral dose of SkinAx over the period and saw improvements in their skin luminosity, colour, brightness and transparency, claims Activ’ Inside.
SkinAx is made from four active compounds, including: flavanols monomers from French grape seeds; superoxide dismutase from French melon juice; zinc; and vitamin C.
“The choice [of ingredients] is based on extensive bibliographical research concerning the mechanism of action, active dosage, bioavailability and bioactivity of each compound,” says the firm.
Improvement
“When asked, 68% of women found their complexion more homogenous after eight weeks of supplementation. This is an improvement of 40%, compared to the beginning of the study.”
More than 15 health claims can be made about the product, says Activ’ Inside. Some claims include: contributes to the maintenance of normal skin; and contributes to the normal formation of collagen for the normal function of skin.
