New powder will replace ‘real food’
A new powder launched in the UK claims to contain all of the relevant nutrients, vitamins and minerals the human body needs and will replace food.
The powder, named Huel, is made from a blend of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, as well as a blend of vitamins. It provides 100% of the government’s recommended daily intake of each and removes the need to eat food, claims Julian Hearn, founder of Huel, which is the firm behind the new powder.
“It seems that it wasn’t too long ago that we could only imagine a world where we’d be able to consume everything we needed without having to take time eating,” he says.
