An ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) lamp has been launched for use with a special ‘glow lotion’ to assess the impact of hand washing training.

The lamp has been introduced by UV Light Technology for use in conjunction with its Reveal UV glow lotion. Incorporating the very latest UV-A LED technology, it produces bright glow effects, which are said to be guaranteed to engage and inspire trainees to learn good hand hygiene.

Major source of cross-contamination

Poor hand washing has been identified as a major source of cross-contamination in food processing.

This UV LED lamp can be used as a stand-alone, table-top training solution or mounted in a cabinet. It can also be fitted with a handle making it suitable for use with Reveal UV glow powders to demonstrate how easily germs can be spread.

The UV LED lamp can be purchased individually or as part of kits, including Reveal UV glow lotion or powders.
