Hudson will be responsible for sourcing new employees, managing 2 Sisters’ talent supply chain, as well as supporting the development of its employer brand.
Following growth through acquisitions, it had become “critical” for 2 Sisters to develop a more effective process for talent acquisition to better serve the size and scale of the business, 2 Sisters’ head of talent Jenni Chambers said.
“We offer a fantastic wealth of career opportunities across a wide range of food sectors, products and locations and we need to capitalise on this,” she said.
Career opportunities
“Being a private business, we can offer an environment for those wanting to make a difference quickly, work in a non-hierarchical organisation with high levels of autonomy and great career opportunities internally.”
Hudson Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) will provide resourcing across the group, which employs 23,000, predominantly in the sourcing of professional and managerial positions at 49 office and manufacturing locations across the UK and Ireland.
Chambers said RPO would provide the most cost effective and highest quality solution to further develop its employer brand and offer a more coordinated and professional resourcing solution for its business.
“Alongside this, we were looking at how we could digitise our work effort more, and also bring more contemporary and innovative thinking to our employer brand and employee value proposition,” she claimed.
Cost savings
Hudson RPO’s md Darren Lancaster said he was “delighted” to be working with 2 Sisters and had already started work on introducing controls and driving cost savings across all aspects of its resourcing programme.
“As part of this programme we will be implementing our own innovative applicant tracking system, InGenium, ensuring we not only improve the quality of hires in the short term but for the longer term too.”
Meanwhile, 2 Sisters won the Judges’ star performer award at the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards earlier this month.
2 Sisters is an own-label food supplier for major retailers, provides a third of all poultry eaten in the UK every day, as well as manufacturing brands like Fox’s Biscuits, Goodfella’s Pizza and Holland’s Pies.
