Whey benefits highlighted in AFI campaign

The benefits of adding whey to milk-based products are at the centre of a new initiative by Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI).

The campaign – called Maximum Yield – will show how adding whey protein to an existing production process with only small or no processing adjustments can significantly increase a dairy company’s efficiency and boost its sustainability credentials.

Unwanted by-products

Focusing on the elimination of unwanted by-products, and the use of by-products as a raw material, AFI planned to show that there is an approach available to suit every dairy, whatever its circumstances.

The subsidiary of Arla Foods said it can offer technical expertise to ensure factory managers get the best out of its whey protein with little or no further investment in manufacturing equipment required.
