New Chefs’ Choice awards mark foodservice excellence

Food manufacturers are invited to submit entries for the new Chefs’ Choice awards, which aim to showcase the top achievement of foodservice suppliers, from wholesalers through to food makers.

The awards – judged by chefs for chefs –  will highlight best-in-class operators who demonstrate quality, innovation, creativity, value and great taste delivery in their frozen, fresh, chilled or ambient products.

Organised by William Reed – the publisher of FoodManufacture.co.uk – the new awards will offer all category winners, entrants achieving a highly rated standard and finalists, the opportunity to use  the awards’ respected endorsement logos on packaging and in all marketing.

27 categories

Winning recognition will independently validate a food business’ standards, as defined the measures of quality, taste, value, and innovation. There are 27 categories to select from across ambient, chilled, fresh, frozen and part baked.

The awards will allow businesses in the foodservice supply chain to compete head-to-head in core product categories and secure a competitive advantage, via independent assessment of eating quality, value and taste.

‘Wholly independent assessment’

William Reed md retail and manufacturing Lorraine Hendle told FoodManufacture.co.uk: “Suppliers have told us they want a process by which they could secure a wholly independent assessment of their product development work, quality output and recipe innovation.

“These awards will meet that demand.”

Closing date for entries is Friday November 18 2016. Place your entry here.

The awards will be presented at a gala celebration dinner at the Haymarket Hotel, central London on Tuesday March 7 2017.

The Chefs’ Choice awards are supported by Food Manufacture’s sister titles Morning Advertiser, Restaurant and The Grocer.
