Further expanding into the retail sector, The Yorkshire Meatball Co's premium meatball range are now available in 141 Morrisons sites. This is the first time the products have been made available in the south and south-east of the country.
The premium meatballs were already available in Tesco and Asda and as of Monday, 9 January, Morrisons across the north, southeast, and a selection of stores in central and greater London will now stock the products.
The two lines launched into Morrisons are the Yorkshire Balls - a classic beef and pork meatball seasoned with a hint of onion, garlic, herbs and salt and pepper - and the Hot Balls - a spicy beef and pork meatball with a kick of chili pepper.
"We're really looking forward to seeing our balls on the shelves in Morrisons stores across the UK," said owners of The Yorkshire Meatball Co, David and Gareth Atkinson.
"Since March 2014, we've been on a mission to lead the fight against average, tasteless meatballs, and our latest launch takes us one step closer to redefining the meatball as an exciting option for today's cook-at-home foodies, and increasing their appeal as an option for a wholesome family meal. After all, two companies that were both born and bred in Yorkshire working in partnership, definitely sounds like a recipe for success."
The firm was launched to fill a gap in the market for premium-branded meatballs for home cooking. Using high quality beef and pork in partnership with a local butcher, Sykes House Farm, the meatballs are rolled in Yorkshire. Each of the recipes is gluten, dairy and egg-free.
