Brazilian meat giant launches European foodservice platform

BRF Europe looks to expand in foodservice with the launch of an online platform positioning itself as a partner of choice for poultry.

Brazilian-owned BRF, which claims to be one of the world's largest food companies, last month said growth in foodservice for its EU subsidiary, BRF Europe, was integral to continental expansion.

The company has now launched a dedicated online portal targeting foodservice business and distributors.

"The idea behind our new BRF Foodservice platform is simple: our clients' success is our success", said Colin Norton, CEO of BRF Europe and Eurasia.

"Innovation and collaboration are cornerstones to progress. Through inviting foodservice clients to our online platform, we are helping them to tap into the knowledge we can offer on global food trends, on creating new dishes and a tailor-made experience by downloading items that will assist in the creation of menus and marketing materials."

BRF FS (foodservice) will leverage its online platform to offer restaurant owners and other foodservice clients promotion solutions, product news and new recipes from in-house BRF chefs. In early 2017, the business will begin to publish market trends on the foodservice industry.

The business is pushing two of its poultry ranges: Sadia and Perdix. It had 25 products on the website at the time of writing.

The range includes coated, roasted and grilled chicken, as well as raw seasoned and natural poultry. BRF said that "menus of all styles" will be catered for by BRF FS.
