New BMPA president announced

Isla Roebuck has been announced as the new president of the British Meat Processors Association (BMPA).

Voted in at the BMPA's Annual General Meeting, held at Stationers' Hall in London yesterday (Wednesday 7 June 2017), Roebuck said he was pleased to have the support of members.

Currently operations director of Dawn Meats, Roebuck said that during his tenure as president of the BMPA he hopes to focus on the UK's impending exit from the European Union, including helping ensure that processors have "access to labour, raw materials and unfettered access to EU markets".

Outgoing BMPA president Peter Mitchell wished Roebuck well in his new role, adding that he was "sure the organisation is in good hands".
