Sports nutrition firm to supply six more football clubs
The manufacturer of energy powders, energy bars, hydration tablets and isotonic gels has signed exclusive supplier deals with Aston Villa and Celtic, it revealed on Friday (August 4). It also signed deals with Norwich City, Plymouth Argyle, Lincoln City and Scottish Premiership club Motherwell.
SiS chief executive Stephen Moon said: “We are delighted to have signed these agreements and expanded our reach across the top-flight football clubs in the UK. We are now official nutrition partner to close to 50 professional clubs, and this is testament to the quality of our science and innovation, our product superiority and our best-in-class approach to banned substance testing.
‘Important strategic growth area’
“We see football as an important strategic growth area in coming years and we will continue to build our presence at elite level as part of this initiative.”
The six additional contracts built upon SiS’s existing pool of over 40 football team clients. It supplies to four national squads, and seven Premier League teams.
SiS is also the official sports nutrition supplier to the Team SKY cycling team, which includes three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome. Brand ambassadors include Britain’s joint most decorated gold medal Olympian Sir Chris Hoy, and heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
