The UK launch takes advantage of the growing interest in ginger drinks, Eurostar Commodities said. It highlighted that Google has reported a 30% increase in ginger tea drink searches every year since 2014.
It added that ginger drinks had “many health benefits”, including aiding digestion, alleviating nausea, boosting immunity and anti-inflammatory effects.
Zero calories
Gingen, the ginger-based drink, has no preservatives or artificial colourings and is 100% natural with zero calories.
“I am delighted to bring a product to the UK market that I have been enjoying myself for years,” said Philip Bull, MD of Eurostar Commodities. “It is a delicious natural drink, which consistently outperforms any competition. It is linked to many health benefits and is conveniently packaged for home or work.
“We are going to give Gingen the success and recognition it deserves in the UK. Indeed, many people already know about Gingen and we are very proud to be able to offer it within our portfolio.”
Three varieties
Gingen is available in three varieties of instant powdered boxes with 12 sachets to drink hot or cold. The variants are Strong Ginger Formula, Ginger with Honey and 100% Ginger.
