The ranges have been created following growth in the Instant Hot Snacks category and following consumer research for microwaveable products that are convenient and provide healthy meal solutions.
The Risotto Bowls (320g) come in three variants: Wild Mushroom & Thyme, Mediterranean Vegetable, and Cherry Tomato & Basil, all counting towards consumers’ five-a-day while the Pulses and Grains Pots (320g) come in three variants: Tuscan Bean Stew with Quinoa, Spicy Tomato and Red Lentil Stew with Pearl Barley & Basil, and Mediterranean Vegetable Stew with Bulgur Wheat & Garlic.
The pots feature on-trend pulses and grains, and are high in protein and low in fat, to attract health-conscious consumers interested in a convenient yet premium offering, said the firm.
Neil Brownbill, commercial director of Napolina, said: “There was a clear gap in the Instant Hot Snacks category for Italian-style meals outside pasta and sauce pot products. Napolina is well positioned to enter this market with a range of quality and authentic Italian products, offering health and convenience simultaneously.”
