The candidates are: Adam Couch, chief executive of Cranswick; Gavin Darby, chief executive of Premier Foods; Wayne Hudson, managing director of Birds Eye UK & Ireland; Martin Johnson, chief executive of Adelie Foods Group; Fiona Kendrick, chairman of Nestlé UK; and Ian Noble, senior research, development and quality director at Mondelēz International.
Each has been picked for their contribution to the businesses they work for as well as their positive impact on the wider food industry. The award is intended to recognise and reward the industry figure that best embodies the qualities of excellence inherent in the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, providing an example for others to follow.
The shortlist of six was chosen by the editorial team from nominees supplied by the judging panel for the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, which are sponsored by KDH Projects and Systems Integration.
