Get ready for the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards next month

Keep 7 November free in your diaries, because that’s when the industry will unite in London to discover the winners of the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards from a distinguished list of 54 finalists across 12 categories.

The spread of entrants was more varied than ever. Of course, the big players were represented in the form of companies such as Coca-Cola European Partners, PepsiCo, ABP UK, Weetabix and Finsbury Food Group. However, smaller firms such as Hilltop Honey, Terry’s Patisserie, Chunk of Devon and Tideford Organics brought exciting initiatives and innovations to the mix.

Increased recognition

That’s good news, as companies with turnovers of £10m and below will receive more recognition than ever in 2018. To reflect the volume of entries in the Chilled, Fresh & Dairy category, we have created two separate finalist streams, one for small processors and one for larger ones.

Not only that, but in addition to creating a Large Company of the Year Award, we have also launched an overall Small Company of the Year trophy.

A further shake-up in the event this year has led to the creation of the brand new main category of Ingredients Manufacturing Company of the Year.

Celebrating success

There is a Partnership Award to recognise the contribution made to the industry’s success by close working relationships with service providers, together with Site Team of the Year, which celebrates the value of teamwork. People Awards, such as Apprentice of the Year, reward individuals.

Finally, don’t miss the chance to vote online for which of the six finalists of the 2018 Business Leaders Award you feel deserves recognition for their efforts.

Visit the website to check out the contenders and cast your vote. Book your table now by contacting Jessica Rooke or call 01293 610439. A big thank you to sponsors KDH Projects, Systems Integration, Foodex and Rappor for making it all possible.
