Northern Ireland-based poultry processor Moy Park has announced two senior appointments in business and supply chain roles.

Matt Hibbins has been appointed director of business and will be responsible for overseeing the next stage of growth with one of the company’s longstanding partners. He joined Moy Park in 2013 as a senior commercial manager and has served as sales and marketing controller from 2017.

Prior to his time at Moy Park, Hibbins spent just under two years as a senior account manager for meat processor Cranswick.

Responsibility for supply chain

Moy Park has also appointed Hugh Nicholson to the role of director of logistics, responsible for developing strategic supply chain initiatives across the manufacturer’s logistics operations.

Nicholson joined Moy Park from financial services firm Deloitte, where he led the company’s logistics and distribution operations in the UK, and has more than 25 years’ experience working within senior supply chain roles.

Commenting on Hibbins’ and Nicholson’s appointments, president Chris Kirke said: “Both Matt and Hugh will provide a high level of expertise and industry understanding, which will no doubt prove an invaluable asset to Moy Park and add strategic value to our business.

‘Knowledge and experience’

“Their in-depth knowledge and experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector will help develop our commercial strategy and further strengthen our relationships in delivering outstanding insights, innovation and quality. We wish them every success going forward.”

As the year winds to a close, food and drink manufacturers still continue to strengthen their senior teams with a number of appointments.

Two key senior management appointments at retailer Morrisons will play a major role on growth of the group, according to analysts.
