The trade body warned that businesses have until 28 August to save up to 92% on their energy bills by applying for membership to the BMPA Climate Change Levy Scheme.
This opportunity is open to both companies that are new to the scheme and to companies already part of it who have added new facilities since joining.
In a statement it said: “You don’t have to be a BMPA member to benefit and you can participate on a site-by-site basis Firms that are accepted for membership will be able to make savings for the next 5 years of up to 92% on electricity, 81% on Natural Gas and 77% on LPG.
“But, the scheme will be closed to new members after 28 August this year, and this is now the last time new members will be able to join before it ends completely in 2025.”
Companies make energy savings at their plants and, so long as they hit the agreed targets, they will receive a huge discount on energy bills. “Not only will you use less energy, but what you do use will be a lot cheaper.”
BMPA can advise on whether a company will be eligible for the scheme and then help them get set up and guide them through what needs to be done via our helpline.
